Introduction

When my friend Jo died at the Nine Ladies site, I decided to do something practical to honour her, so I wrote this Enochian prose ritual for quick results in eco magic.

I have tried it out, and it seems to work very well, making it possible to cast four or five enchantments in half an hour. It can also work cathartically to release and direct the strong emotions which activists feel at the loss or destruction of things that we love.

I think that we could use it (or adaptations of it) to respond quickly to things which come up, and for requests for help which come appear on internet lists such as dragon-network. (See the E-Group section.)

Note on Pronunciation

The original Dee and Kelly workings had the words pronounced as in English, however that was in Elizabethan times.

The Golden Dawn didn't have the complete record (no one does) but they had strong Judeo-Christian beliefs, so they devised a system of pronunciation which interspliced the letters with the names of their counterparts in the Hebrew language.This became a standard for many years.

Using a psychodynamic model to explain the Enochian phenomenon, it makes some sense to intersplice the pronunciation with letters that Dee and Kelly had familiarity with. This makes splicing with Greek viable, since Dee knew Greek better than he knew Hebrew.

I have had enjoyed good results using the Greek pronunciation in Pan invocations. This Dragon rite appears more or less in the original Enochian language, but if anyone feels that they should adapt it, then that's up to them.

The universe loves variety.

The Ritual

The usual safety and grounding precautions apply. Practitioners should make sure they ground and center thoroughly before they drive, or carry out responsible tasks, and also if they socialize with people who dislike "crazy wisdom"...

The eco mage makes a statement of intent or a wish, and if they like sigil mantras they rearrange the letters so make some gibberish word which they can chant.

Then, one centers and goes into a magical space by an opening ritual (see Basic Ritual), or by visualizing a connecting line coming down from the body (usually the dan tien, or belly charka) into the Earth, and a connecting line going up into the sky.

These vertical lines bring energy (for want of a better word) into the practitioner which mixes in them.

Then the line springs branches and roots to become the Dragon rune, and the rune gets chanted: "LAFETEKAIS"

Just a suggestion...

The ritual proceeds by voicing the Enochian prose in whatever way you find most powerful until the spell part.

Unfortunately for some, I have written the rite so that we can only use it for honorable works of eco magic, so the wish or the sigil must have an honorable intention fit for a Dragon working.
If you want to use magic to do something oppressive such as stop the object of your desires having sex with rivals (for instance) then piss off and find another tradition to work in.

When you say the wish, or the magical intention after the first part of the Enochian, this casts the spell for the first time.

If you use a mantra then you can drum and dance, etc. whilst chanting it. Repeated energized chanting casts the spell the second time.

Then the last verse of the enochian gets voiced, building up to the roar, and followed by any formulas or power words you would like to add.

I used "ABRACHADABRA" which traces back to an old Hebrew word meaning "I honour my ancestors"

Then roar using all your body, letting whatever emotions you feel come through you.

Whilst doing this ritual I have felt strong emotions from evictions more than five years earlier rise up through me in the rush of magical oomph that I feel when using this rite.

This casts the spell a third time with great power.

Having done this, you might have completed the enchantment and feel ready to center and close down as you opened, you might feel like repeating some parts of the working, or you might find some spontaneous things to do.

You will have made a connection with the Dragon, and cried out as one with it. Where this may take you next is not for me to say. I will say however that you should return to reality by re-centering and grounding at some point to close the working.

This translates into English as something like;

"The Dragon of the Earth runes with the likeness of an oak.
It brings forth power understanding unto those of us of honour for the Earth with her creatures.
It waxes strong amidst us who hearken to truth and work for Justice.
And it opens a law of creation and works wonders in continuance with this song of honour."
