The European Social E-Group (ESF) is part of a global movement for radical social and political change united in the belief that Another World is Possible. Its first two gatherings attracted over 60,000 participants from across Europe and beyond.

Dragon have teamed up with disparate Pagan Activists (including people from Hydra, Dionysian Underground, Serpent Institute. and Reclaiming ) to facilitate events at the 'alternative' ESF - self-organised and autonomous spaces ranging from hired venues to squatted social centres.

Pagan Magikal Activism

16th October, the 'Moon Room', Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London.

We need to start the workshops promptly at 6 pm,
so please don't turn up on 'Pagan-time'!

6 to 7: Introduction to Pagan Magikal Activism
Short introductory talks suitable for people new to magik or magikal activism. We'll explore different ways or working and what we have in common. What is magik? Does it work? etc.

Speakers:
Steve (Hydra and Dionysian Underground), Jocelyn (Dionysian Underground and Serpent Inst.), Adrian (Dragon network), Sean (Hydra) and others.

7- 8: Playshop on Tools and Techniques
Sharing examples of actions. Discussion and practical demonstrations on how to ground ourselves, how to prevent burn out, how to raise energy, banish fear, protect etc.

8-9: Playshop on Equalizing Magic
Magik that's about dissolving rather than fighting hierarchies. Magik that's not about power over, dualism (good against evil) or just personal stuff, but tuning in and equalising what needs to be re-balanced.Talk, discussion meditation and visualisation.

9-10 What is the carnivalesque approach?
What is the philosophy behind it? How does it work?

Activism with Spirit

Jeannie (Reclaiming) is planning a workshop on 'Activism with
Spirit' in the main ESF on Sun 17th from 9am to 12 am.

Dionysian Smart Mob

Meet Friday October 15th @ 7pm sharp at the Bow Bells. Be prepared for a smart flash mob style ritual. Dionysus is the most life-positive and freedom loving of all the Greek gods. He personifies rebelliousness, disobedience and living life in accordance with a happy chaotic flow. Come celebrate in this smart-mob ritual!

This is just a small part of what will be happening. There will be alternative media centres, street theatre, parties, creative actions and protests, seminars, workshops, conferences, cultural events...and rituals!
