Plans and Projects

We now have an e-list for planning and discussion:
http://paganarchy.net/brigid/list.html

As at April 16th 2005, we have 25 members with a range of skills - Reiki healers, a Pranic Healer, psychotherapists, massage therapists, Shamanic healers, and a herbal first aider.

Although this project was initiated by Pagans, we welcome members who don't identify as Pagan. We ask that your healing is client centered and individual spiritual paths are always respected.

Sustainable Activism

Too many activist suffer from burnout. How can activist stay happy, sane and effective? Several of the Tribe are developing techniques to help prevent burnout. We'll be presenting workshops at the Who Cares? Knowledge Lab and the Camp for Climate Action.

The full details of Adrian's workshop is available.

Street Medics

All those who are working as Street Medics at the G8 need to have a First Aid certificate. The Street Medics working group are arranging training at locations across the country.

Post-traumatic Stress

The problem of activists suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress (PST) was instrumental on the formation of the Tribe. We are planning to work in co-operation with ASSENT, the G8 Post-Traumatic Stress group.

Treating PTS is a specialist job, but it's important that all of us are aware of the symptoms of PTS and know how to refer people. ASSENT have produced a 6 page briefing on PTS which is online at http://activist-trauma.net/ptsd.htm.
